    Hi guys

I've seen a pair of ex-demo M&K S85s in black, which I would pair with
    M&K K-4 Rears.

I've been thinking of the M&k 851 centre and K-9 sub - both in black.
I'd be grateful for your opinions.

Re an amp, been looking at the Denon 2805, Yamaha 1500 or Arcam 250.

System will be mainly for movies.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Cheers

    Dr F

    Hi Dr F,

The M&K S85's are very well regarded on this forum and as rule of thumb most M&K speakers Tonally match each other so they would go with the 851 centre and k4 rears good combination!!
BTW: I have a M&K V851 Sub to sell if you are interested which would be a better match for the speakers you are looking at, it was part of my 851 setup!

    Hi Recruit

    Thanks for your reply.

Do you think think that my amp selections would do the M&Ks justice and could you let me know the price for your V851 sub?

    Cheers

Out of the 3 amps i would of thought that the Yamaha 1500 would drive them better as it has more power than the Denon & Arcam!
The V851 sub i will sell for £600 which is 1/2 price and a bargain it is 6 months old and in mint condition!!

    Hi
Dont forget Nad receivers,Not many people seem intrested in these receivers but they are very good for the price, loads of power they will drive the m&ks easily at high volumes which some more well known amps struggle to do.
    Cheers Gonzo.

M&K speakers aren't the easiest to drive so don't skimp on the amplification as they like loads of power

What Ian says is quite important as to get the best out of the M&k's they need plenty of Power so if poss try and get the best amp you can!!

    Thanks for your advice, guys.

Now need to demo the M&Ks with a suitable amp. Only problem is that the costs keep on going up!

    Cheers
