M.I.2 Sound Problem

I was watching Mission Impossible 2 when a part of the scene stop producing sound, It was ONLY until I rewinded back to the part it stopped producing sound that it produced sound again.

This is a brand new disk, why did it do this? or is it faulty & there for change it for another

my dvd player is SONY DVPns700v
