    Hello everyone,
New here and to gaming on a pc. I have finally decided to take the plunge. I am buying a rig from ibuypower and I'd like to know expert opinions on what I've decided to go with. I know most who comment on this will ask the question....why not build your own. Simpley, I'm a noob at this and I am indeed learning how this all works. Down the road, I would like to learn how, but for now, I just want to learn the logistics of it all. Anyways, here's what I'm going with. Please give me some feedback as to what I can expect out of this machine and whether or not I'm missing something important. Thank you!

Nice system, which will last you a long time. make sure the PSU is of a good make (Corsair, etc) as you do not mention the brand name. A cheap PSU is not recommended. If you can stretch your budget to a 980, it would be better, to give you a bit more lifespan, but the 970 is a perfectly good card anyway.
An SSD would also be recommended to use as a boot drive.

Yes, the PSU is not named, that I would be wary of. I second a SSD.

The iBuypower equipment is also really shoddy, the mouse is worth nothing and you should look at getting better one.

Also if you are paying extra for their overclock boost level, then don't. A couple of minutes on Google will get you the same results.

    Overall specs are good though.

Reiterate the PSU brand question from the two above. If its EVGA, Corsair, Superflower your good........find out this and let us know.

I know I sound like an echo here, contact them and verify the PSU is a decent named brand and 80+ bronze rated minimum, and it really would benefit a SSD for the OS and main programmes.

Or shop about, Overclockers do pre-build systems and never use generic/cheap shoddy PSU's, tried and tested after sales service too!

Thanks for the feedback all. Any other suggestions for reputable online dealers that build rigs?
andiuk, do you have a link to overclockers website?

I'd also like to know what PSU brands I should be looking at or stay away from. Also, what kind of wattage I should go with?

Overclockers are a UK company, are you buying here, or in the US?

Also, I dont think anyone was implying that the compnay you have chosen are not reputable, just to double check the component parts.

    I didn't see location!

Shipping to the states would cost a fortune.

The name Newegg seems to pop up a lot watching PC parts reviews in the US, maybe try them?

Sinzer's comment on ibuypower's "shoddy" equipment made me wonder if I should look somewhere else?

P.S, PC parts are cheaper over in the states than they are here so you'll get better for your money.

Give them a phone call, ask what make and model the PSU is and post it here, also ask what options you have. The keyboard and mouse can surely be ditched and replaced with something else :smashin:

I'd drop the lights, LED fans and go for quiet ones that push more air and go for a 250/256GB SSD.

    That's just my preference mate.

The specs you have picked look good, if you want lights in there that's fine because you haven't compromised on the hardware to pay for them.

I'd change the AIO liquid cooler for a big air cooler and swap the disco fans for fans that have a main purpose as moving air mate, SP fans for CPU cooler, AF fans for intake and exhaust airflow (if you go for a mini case SP fane can be better than AF fans as an exhaust because they force warm air out).
