I know this is the best sound card to buy for HTPC, but what about compatibility with PC games? If it is not compatible, any other alternative??

    Your help will be appreciated

Who said it was the best card for HTPC? It doesn't even work with Cineplayer 4. ;)

I good choice for HTPC and games might be the new Terratec DMX6Fire 24/96.

Thanks Jeff, your card is on my short list too. What I mean is 24/96 based card. So does that mean that Terratec suppots games ?

The card I have, the Terratec EWX 24/96, it works with games due to AC97 emulation/support, but it doesn't support the new fancy 3D sound etc. The DMX6Fire 24/96 is a new card, it does support EAX, A3D, Sensaura 3D etc, but it also maintains the high quality of the EWX 24/96 card. For those who want MAudio sound quality and Sound Blaster games support this should be ideal. Thats the theory, I haven't had the pleasure to test the card myself so...

This card sounds like it might be a winner, dont see the need for the front panel, but it looks like a good all rounder, anybody had a play.
