Had decided on the lxd52 over the lxd500 as the main differences stated are not important to me. However, am now concerned after looking in Panasonic brochure as the specs at the back show only 720/50p and 1080/50i , but no mention of 60hz (all are shown for the lxd500). If this is true then the lxd52 is not HD ready as stated by EICTA.

Can anyone confirm?

Yes, it does support 60Hz and is HD-Ready. Here's the confirmation from the TX32LXD52's manual:

Thanks for clearing that up Jonti.

On the spec it mentions the lxd52 having a type A HDMI. Having looked around this is half the speed of a type B HDMI connectoer.....does anyone know if the lxd500 is type B? or in fact if any new LCD TVs use TYPE B.

Also, does the lxd52 have both automatic and manual adjustment of the backlight?

Thanks in advance
