NO: You can have DVI or unencrypted HDMI in and analogue out but as soon as HDCP is seen on the DVI inputs the analogue outputs go off. I can see how the quote you have posted may be misleading. What they mean is that if you don;t have a digital input display you can still use their scalers as they all have analogue output capability......just not when you send an encrypted digital signal to them....

If it outputs via DVI, does that mean I can watch it on the DVI inputs on my MXE1?

ie does it remove the encryption leaving a pure digital output?

I'm afraid not. If the signal is encrypted to start with the output from the Lumagen can only be an equally encrypted digital signal (HDCP). The MXE1 does not support HDCP.

    Liam,

Is there a Pioneer HDMI-equipped card on the horizon for the MXE1? Also, do you know if the Aurora A304-HDCP card handles 720p and 1080i @50Hz on the DVI-HDCP input?

We're hoping that the Aurora card will cover HDMI functionality. However as yet I haven't got a confirmed spec.
