    Hi,

I have come accross a problem with my Lumagen and X-box. When I load up some of the games the display get messed up (technical term  ). It looks like the odd & even field have been swapped which gives a jagged effects to lines. It only happens on some games, Fable, Star Wars Battelfronts other games are fine like ISS2, Jedi Academy.

Has any one come across this problem?

    Cheers

Is your XBox standard UK, USA, or chipped? How is it connected to your Lumagen?

The X-box is a standard un-modded UK box. I am connecting to the Lumagen via a component input (Number 4).

Well as it's unmodded I'm fairly cerrtain that all the games are output at the same resolution, so not sure what's happening. Have you tried the Lumagen Beta forum?

Your the only Beta Tester with enough time for an X-Box :)

I'll give the powers that be a nudge - its not something I've come across before.

If you go direct to the Projector does it always 'report' the same signal with these various games.

    Best regards

    Joe

Good grief....I was in Wokingham today......Jeez....should have been paying attention and I cold have popped in to check. Sorry but I have no answers for you.....My XBOX is R1 unit. If someone wants to lend me a game that does this effect I'll look at it.....my box is chipped so Ii might be able to recreate it and pass on info to Lumagen for de-bugging or an answer of some sort

    Joe,

I checked the type of signal, for the various games, this morning. The games that work report 625 Line (Interlace) the games that don't report 525 Lines (Interlace). The games and the X-box were all bought in the UK.

By the way Joe, the BetterCables 10 Metre DVI to HDMI worked out a treat. I get the odd drop out but that's to be expected with such a long DVI cable

    Gordon,

That's a pity, as I e-mailed you December last year about performing the ISF calibration when the cinema room was complete (in late January/Early February). The room is now complete except for the Sky box. Hopeful you will be back in the area soon, so you could fit me in.

    Cheers

    Hello Gary

So the UK games that aren't working are outputting 480i(60) with a PAL colour space.

We'll need to get on to Lumagen to see if that can be supported.

    Best regards

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Looks that way, seems strange that developers would select different line resolutions you think it would be standard.

    Cheers
