Lumagen HDP picture artifact?

When viewing any dvds with bars at the top and bottom [2:35:1] I have noticed some red colour bleeding type effect in dark to mid dark scenes. this can be seen as a red horizontal line at the bottom edge of the top black bar!! This is quite distracting and is not normal. general picture quality is good but this is hard to ignore.

Any ideas????

Never heard or seen such an effect. I'll speak to Liam about this.

this may help. blacks also have a tinge of red to them in some scenes. lowering brightness reduces the effect considerably but will lose out on some shadow detail.

Sounds like greyscale or gamma is not correct for this input signal type on display
