Lumagen dvi or cinemateq plus 2

    Hi, want to get a scaler thinking about either of the above two what do you think display is panny pw4

    Have you read the older threads on here about the Cinemateq? I did only yesterday and think the consensus was that it wasn't good in comparison with the Lumagens and iScans.

    Also, does the Panny have the resolution to make using a scaler worthwhile?

    I use a my demo DVI on a D6 at home. D4's do not have film detection for PAL. The processing engine in the Panasonic plasma is OK but the difference in mosquito noise removal and in increased detail is obvious when I compare the scaler to the direct feed at home.

    I cannot comment on the other option.

    Has anyone heard of a dvi board for a panny pw4 as a reply in one thread said he had one fitted to his as this would be good for a "lumagen" is for me

    Thanks Gordon, had already asked piers and he said he got it from tmf so i spoke to joe and he said that they were not that great and to stick with rgb/component.

    Well I thought it better they told you than me.....hahahaha... Very limited res wise and of course no HDCP.
