My DVDO scalers automatically go into standby if they don't receive a signal for a couple of minutes, but my Pro HDP seems to be always on and I have to manually turn it off.

    Am I missing a setting?

You have to turn it off manually but I'm just a laughable fanboi, so I may be wrong.

I never turn mine off. Fanless and doesn't get hot.

They have an AUTO on mode whereby if there is a powercut (or it's on a swictched electrical supply) you can tell it to "awake" when it receives power.
