Like most people I have a collection of old LPs, including a few which aren't available on CD. I want to transfer these to CDR.

What I need is a cable to link headphone socket of an old music centre to the line in on my sound card. Does anybody know where I can get one?

I know the quality won't be great, but it would be better than nothing.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Matlane - your best bet is probably Maplins. They're usually my first port of call for cables. I bought a copy of Steinberg Clean a while back which proved a useful tool - mind you, if you've only got a headphone socket to use, might be a case of overkill.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the replies.

I hadn't realised that the line in was a normal 3.5 jack socket. But I've just tried a headphone jack and it does fit.
