    Hi

I'm in the process of selling my Loewe Individual 32" in order to get a bigger screen.

I'm quite keen on the Samsung LE40M86/LE40M87.

Any views on whether I'll see a big drop in quality? I'm expecting it to be good from all the reviews & comments I've seen. And I'm assuming the Loewe price (which I won) is more to do with a pose factor B&O/Bose type pricing structure.

    Any comments?

You are going from one of the most expensive sets to one of the cheapest 1080p screens out there.

I've never owned a Loewe or B&O tv but surely their prices can't all be down to clever marketing / "pose factor"?

I would suspect you would see a drop in quality but I'm only guessing.

You will definatley see a drop in pq on sd material. Loewe crts were regarded as possibly the best on the market so I'd bet for freeview/sky sd/dvd your set would show better contrast/movement and less artefacting.
However, if you love playing games or are looking into bd/hddvd then thats when the samsung would impress:thumbsup:

Yeah, I seem to have the jitters now ;)

Another option may be spending more on the Sony KDL40X2000, but I'm worried about Sony clouding as on the 40W2000?...

If I were you and you don't have to desperately sell the Loewe now I'd be waiting for the 100/120Hz 40"+ LCD's later in the year.
