Hi all, I am very new to this amatuer movie malarky so am after a little help.

I use my Panasonic NVDS30 Mini DV cam mainly for making music videos for some of my friends bands by filming their live shows and editing the footage in adobe premier. The problem I have is that a lot of the time it is very dark, kinda dusky I guess. This can prove to be difficult for filming the definition can be bad at times. Other than using the night shot function, which I must admit gives quite a funky effect but I would rather film in colour, is there any thing I can do to improve the quality of my recordings?
