Was just messing around with a A300 today in a shop, how do you change the lamp setting from "high" to "low"?

Its in one of the menus accessed by pressing the "Menu" button on top of the machine.

Think its in the video section - use the joypad to select "high" or "low".

I recommend using "low" - its more than bright enough, gives you 5000 hours, and makes it quiet as a whisper too.

BTW I imported my Jap. model back in November, and its a lovely bit of kit - still going strong :)

BTW why is this in DVD Players and Recorded, and not in Projectors...?!
