I know this is probably here a load of times already but I can't seem to find it if I go searching. Basically I want the cheapest remote control extender possible so I can change the channels on the sky box in my sitting room while in my bedroom (upstairs). And that's pretty much it, no video or audio signals or anything involved. Most of the ones I come across in shops seem ridiculously expensive for this pretty simple task.
Alternativelty, anyone ever tried making one of these themselves? I work in electronics so I could probably give it a go if there were schematics or anything available - assuming I wouldn't go changing the neighbours tv channels or something :)
