Hey guys, i've posted a couple times, but go no responses anyway, here we go:
I'm 15, and get £50 a month from a paper round (I have to use that money to buy christmas/b-day presents etc.)
22" LG 1080p led monitor
Custom built pc (Athlon 640, radeon hd 5770, 4gb ram, 500 gb hdd)
crap 5.1 pc speakers
as you can see, not particularly impressive.
I've seen a pull-down projector screen on ebay for ~£30, and was thinking of pairing it with an Optoma PK102 projector, and a 5m vga cable. that comes to roughly £130.
For the sound system, i was considering a mini hifi connected to my pc via the audio in. Having listened to my system, I didn't really notice the 5.1 used, so I'll be willing to forgo surround sound in favour of a 2.0 or 2.1 or even 3.1 setup. Also, I can get a Cambridge Audio topaz AM1 and Wharfedale Diamond 9.0's for £110 at my local Richer Sounds, of a Sony Bx77dbi for 100.
Basically, I would like recommendations for a decent sound system that won't break the bank.
