My current gfx car x600 vguru pro is getting closer and closer to being skimmed onto the grass!!
When ever i boot up from a cold start, it makes the loudest bloody noise iv heard, then the noise goes down a step after 30secs or so, then its like a silencer kicks in and it settles down, the same pattern on every boot up?
Can anyone shed any light on this vulnerable cards problem?

My Gainward 6800GT does that. Not sure on yours but mine regulates the fan speed to how hard it's working. When windows starts up I'm guessing it runs the fans the hardest and then when it gets into windows, it works out how hard it's running and regulates the fans accordingly.

my x800gto2 does the same. they have thermally controlled fans than spin at 100% at bootup, that's all. nothing to worry about:)
