4 disc version of extended Two Towers is up at amazon.ca for only £17.73 (using bloomberg rates) including delivery. Just cheaper than dvdsoon and below the £18 quid VAT limit.

Here

you need to use the CANADASKY or MAPSHAWSPEED coupons- which give $5 off $35

thanx to cranberry at dvdforums

hope this helps

seems to be some kind of confusion over amazon.ca customs declaration. i have been told (since i posted the above) that amazon possibly declare the pre-voucher price & shipping on the customs declaration, if so this will push the price over the £17.99 vat threshold.

if so i do apologise.

this point could do with clearing up, is there anyone out there who knows?

Get it from CDWOW Hong Kong site for just under £15. That is the 4 disc R1.

Thanks for the info, I was waiting for a silly price, and this is the cheapest I've seen, especially from a supplier that does not want a fax of my credit card, CC statement, including most security details (DVD soon).

Now to buy a plasma screen to go with it !!

hmmm

I ordered LOTR:tTT (extd) from dvd soon, at the link provided above. Just had an email to say they've sent me 'Fellowship', and have noticed they've changed the link.

Anyone else had this?

It definitely was tTT when I ordered it.

With Amazon in Canada (or elsewhere) when do they take the money ? When you order or when they ship ?
TIA - Paul

Amazon take your money when they ship, I think.

I've ordered mine from DVD Soon, as they mark everything at $12, so no risk of customs charges, but they do take the money up front.

I ordered the 2 towers as per above, and they have sent me fellowship!

phoned cdwow, and they are sending me a prepaid envelope for refund, but will not be honouring the original price.

least I'll get my money back

glad it wasnt just me then.

which number did you use to contact cd-wow for the pre-paid envelope.

Thought the offer was a bit too good to be true...

I dont mind them not honoring the price if it was a genuine mistake but its annoying they never sent any emails to say they were posting out 'felloship' instead.

Regards
