LOTR - ROTK - dodge import ??

    hi

    i have the 1st 2 on R1 and was wondering if theres anywhere to pick ROTK EE 4 dvd set up cheap?

    amazon.com have it for $24 !!!
    how do you work out tax etc if i get clattered for it?

    If it comes to less than £18 then customs isn't a problem.

    $24 US works out to £12.92 per www.xe.com which means it will go through ok - however you need to include P&P if it is over £18 with P&P included - Amazon P&P is usually £7-$8 which makes it £17.23 so you should still be ok

    However the customs/VAT/PO Handling calc is as follows:

    add 4% then add 17.5% of the new total, then add £4 post office handling and you get your grand total...

    The customs limit of £18 applies excluding P&P. If the limit is breached the custom charges are based on the value including P&P.

    Of course this doesn't help you if the supplier quotes a single price and doesn't show the shipping cost.

    Paying using a voucher (or special discount code) makes no difference to Customs - that's still a cash payment so the value of an item is the value before the voucher. Proper sales are fine. If the supplier puts nothing C&E are free to guess what they think it is worth.
