Historically the EE R1 releases have always had superior packaging to the R2.

Does anybody know what the situation has been with the R3 release?

    I have found both the R2 & R3 releases for the box-set @ £17.99.

What is the best pre-order price available for my prefered choice of R1 ?

It would seem best price so far is £25 from Cd-Wow. Ive pre ordered mine from there. Never had any trouble from them. I got a £1 off anyway.
    December can't come soon enough

I've noticed that my EE boxes that came with the figures are of a sturdier material than the ones you just get with the EE on its own. They are totally sealed and thicker than the cereal packet type box. Is that what the R1 packaging is like?

Not including Canadian websites, it works at around £18 delivered with either amazon or dvdpacific for region 1.

Sounds about right. R2 are just double layer cardboard on the sides and single layer top & bottom. Wherear R1 are more like a hardback book.

You say that as though there is a problem with Canadian discs, bi-lingual covers perhaps ?

Still no idea what the R3 packaging is like. Anybody bought this ?

I've just pre-ordered the third installment ee from play.com 'cos they're extremely reliable and only about £22.
Don't mind about the packaging too much but isn't it strange how we have inferior packaging in most cases in the UK?
btw, PJ has already said that he intends to do a complete 6 disc "definitive trilogy" with extra 6 discs of extras (wants it to be same as the existing seperate ee's but encoded at higher bitrate - not that the existing ones have anything lacking). He says he's planning this for after King Kong gets finished.
Should come in a metal tin (here's hoping) :D

DVD.CO.UK are just as good as Play.com and they are doing ROTK EE but for £5 less at £17.99 so you might want to think about ordering from them instead.
