I see Return Of the King has just been released.
I had a look at the back of the box and it looks like it might be a good game.
Has anyone had a chance to have a go on it yet?
Just wondering if it's worth my adding on my list for Santa.:)

I've been having a bash on this on the XBox

It's actually pretty good for a film licence game (especially an EA film licence game!)

It kinda reminds me of Golden Axe, to be perfectly honest - loads off running about, constantly hacking things to death :smashin:

Yeah so it's a bit of a no-brainer - but it plays pretty well and it's actually quite challenging to play. Not the kind of game you'll finish in your first couple of plays.

On the console versions there's also a nice co-op mode so you can double-up with a mate and hack things to death as a team :D I'm pretty sure this would have survived to the PC version, but you may want to check if you like the sound of co-op play.

All in all I was quite pleasantly surprised by this game - it does a good job of representing the Peter Jackson films whilst actually being decent to play, too.

Better off buying the game on console, my friend has it on PC and says that it is a console game through and through, not the best on PC.

Said it would be much better if you had at least a gamepad or USB gamepad convertor.

Don't have a console. I do have a Xbox controller connected via USB. It's my fave controller, but unfortunately not all pc games allow use of game pads lately.

Bought it today and it's quite a nice game.
Not the usual sort of game I would buy but I like it.
Toole, it does have the co-op mode.
