Feeling ripped off by CD WOW and their dubious stock levels of the R3 extended edition of LOTR Return of the King?. Well, the best price I found on it as a replacement, that is currently available, is £9.96 from Amazon Jersey (follow the new/used link from the main Amazon page.

It's not as good as the CD WOW price, but Amazon at least have stock, and when that stock is gone, the offer is removed. Something CD WOW seem unable to do. Oh, and it's R2 as well, so no Asian text to contend with.

Looks like CD Wow did you a favour then by selling all their stock.

Why should the R3 has Asian text to contend with?, I thought it was just a removable sticker that had that on?.

The R3 has no Asian text at all other than a sticker and a Chinese version of the booklet inside. Hard to believe that anyone could feel "ripped off" simply because CD-WOW ran out of stock. What did you expect? They were selling it for peanuts, and no doubt got a lot more orders than the stock they had.

Ripped off = receiving goods which weren't as described or receiving nothing at all.

Out of stock = an inevitable consequence of selling popular titles at silly prices.

    There is a difference...PJ :)

I expect that, like other retailers that I use, they update their stock levels in real time. That they didn't in this case, and that informing me too 24 hours, is unacceptable. It is compounded when you consider that the offer price appeared, then disappeared, then reappeared again - all documented in this section of the forum.

It isn't asking the world, is it, that retailers only offer for sale what I can actually buy?. I don't believe it is, and neither do I find it a difficult concept to grasp.

Sorry but I find this a bit of an annoying attitude as well. They were selling some of these titles for pennies and with the disounts people were getting on them, porobably at a loss. So no reason to complain really. You certainly cant blame them if they run out of stock at these prices.

Thats scandelously cheap. WHat a fanatastic series for £15. Many many hours of viewing in there, unbelivable price

It's £20 before vouchers, so £18 is more realistic. But even so an excellent price!...PJ

It may be now, but I got it a few weeks back when you could pick it up for £14.99 with vouchers etc (see below). Now that is what I call amazing value! The first copy I received actually had one of the discs missing but they replaced it straight away without quibble!

    Thank you
