LOTR hangs at 65:18 on my Pioneer DV340. Anyone else experiencing problems?

No problems here on a Toshiba SD210E, nor I have I seen any other mention of this problem. Maybe someone else with that player can help

Region 1 or 2? I have the R1 and it plays fine on my 210 also.

R2 - got it from my local Tesco with a large crate of beer. Used the beer to ease the pain of my discovery.

Did the beer come free with the disk? Which brand of lager?

Kronenburg. Unfortunately the disc was not a freeby although they were offering it at £14 if you spent £50 on other stuff.

    Mine sucked from 00:01 > 177:00. :D

No problems with picture/sound from the copy I rented.

I would have left the disc on the shelf and bought another large crate of beer. ;)

Was it a trailer infested rental special or same as the retail?
A cheaper large volume (less reliable) pressing may have been used for retail.

No trailers, so at a guess it must be the same as the retail version.
