Well, it looks like we are getting the LOTR FOTR & TTT EE's in cinemas. I've just booked mine for our local Showcase. FOTR opens tomorrow, TTT next week. Great way to build up to ROTK. :)

What are we gonna do then ???? :(:(:(

We'll still have the Extended version of ROTK to look
forward to. Then....maybe.... The Hobbit in the not too distant
    future?

Seems the Extended Editions are very limited showings.

However, I have heard that certain cinemas (Cineworld mainly) will be showing all three films in a day long LOTR marathon, around Christmas Day/New Year.

I thought about doing the marathon trilogy showing, but it's just going a bit too far. I'm seeing FOTR next wed, TTT the following wed aft and ROTK that evening. With a Frankie and Bennys all you can eat buffet in between (who ate all the (pizza) pies?).

I'd rather watch FOTR/TTT at home, followed by ROTK at the cinema...

Makes more sense than being sat in an only moderately comfortable cinema for nigh on 12 hours.

Peter Jackson's next project is to be a remake of King Kong.
