If you dont want to know where the film is split (I cant think why) then dont read any further!

I ve just finished watching the first half of Lord Of The Rings.
I was watching the scene where the council meet to decide the rings fate and I thought this would be an Ideal place to change the disc at the end of this scene and low and behold this is where they choose to do It;)

I was really pleased that some thought was obviously put into a suitable time to change the disc.

Cant wait to Watch the other half tomorrow night.

I cant be bothered to do a poll but I was just wandering who will watch it all in one sitting and who will split it up over two nights like me??

Ooooooh, this little baby HAS to be watched in one sitting (well, two if you include getting up to change the discs).

I'm waiting for Saturday night for this one*... curry will be consumed, much wine will flow and another 3.5 hours of my life will be lost forever :D

(*As soon as I've seen the voting result on Popstars: The Rivals, naturally)

I had to watch this in one evening, don't think I'd be able to wait until the next night :D

Absolutely superb as well. It was difficult to imagine that they would be able to improve on the SE, but they have.
Fantastic film and packaging (R1 EE) is good too.

The LOTR : FOTR book is actually 2 books and they chose the split the film at the same place as the books.

Both The Two Towers and Return of the king are two books each as well.

I've got this Friday night set aside for a whole screening. Sad isn't it?

I don't think I'd appreciate it as much starting to watch it from half way through on another night.
