    HI
Has any one got the region1 version of Lord Of The Rings with the half french and english cover. the canada version

is there any difference to the film on this region 1 version for example
picture wise or sound quailty?? or is it the same quality as the us region 1 version, the only difference i can see is the 2.0 soundtrack is in french on the canada version.

I have the Canadian version & quality is good. I have however noticed slight horizontal lines running along both top & bottom of the picture, just before the letterboxing starts - has anybody else the same problems.

This is however on a 3 m wide projected screen - these may not show up on a telly

    Hi Feccy,

I've also noticed this "problem", not just on this disc but many others as well.

Using a 7ft screen projected by an HT300 (all new to me) the images are razor sharp - maybe that's why I've never noticed it before?

Sorry though I have no explanation :(

    Anyone else?

I wish I could answer this question but I ordered my copy from Play ages ago and still haven't got it.

How long should I leave it before contacting them.

'Play247' > 'Contact Us' > 'I have not received my order'

    Contains the answer you seek.

Do you guys know who is doing the Canadian version and who is doing the USA version?

I know most of Future Ents DVDs are Canadian, but what about Play?
I am only asking as I would rather not have the french writing. (cue howls of derision!) :)

As far as I know Play's region 1 discs all come from Canada.
Try www.movietyme.com for USA versions in region 1.
