Hi was hoping to get lost the TV series. Excuse the pun, but it appears that the R2 version is only have the series ! (so I have read) So am looing to get the R1 version. I see that amazon.com have it at a good price but have a question as it will work out about £22 will I get stung from amazon. I know the rule is about £18 but some companys the stuff gets through.

Alternatively does anyone recommend a place that has it for a good price as doing a search for LOST brings up loads of films.

Scooby

PS. I had a look on ebay and can't believe the number of copied ones being sold. One guy has 40 for sale !!!!

Thanks been looking round and that looks the best deal.

Bit worried about customs though.

Some items if shipped to customers outside of the US may be subject to inspection and additional duties and taxes may become payable, these extra charges must be bourne by you the customer.
If you require any further information with regards to these charges please contact your contries Customs agency.

It is on next day delivery from Movietyme - it will be sent from within the UK and there is zero chance of a customs charge.

Actually there is no more Lost for 3 weeks in the US so will be quite some time until Season 2 is on DVD, probaley next August/September.

i got mine from amazon marketplace. arrived within 2 weeks from america in superb condition, and cost only about £25 including postage. I asked the guy to mark it under £18 and he ended up putting it as $21. You will probably get caught if you buy it from Amazon proper though.

I ordered my R1 from amazon.com on 13th October with standard international shipping and it hasnt arraived yet. It's predicted delivery date is 14th November, is it really going to take this long? Wish I'd seen this thread before ordering as I would have done it through movietyme  How likely is it for customs to get involved?

Im after the region 1 version to, like the price of 29.99 from movieetyme but now Im worried about the customs charges. Worst case if I had to pay them what sort of price are we looking at, happy paying around £5 or is it likely to be much more than that?

Just received a Royal Mail note saying there's a £4.43 customs fee and £4 Royal Mail clearance fee. Oh well, at least I got my box set.

If there is a charge, MovieTyme will refund you - check the site.

Well Ive oredered mine off movietyme, if I do get charged and they refund it then great, still better value than buying the rip off region 2 set.

Anything over £18 is subject to custom and excise tax/charges according to my packaging
Not from Movietyme. They either pre pay if sent from out side europe or send to their UK offices and resend on. Everything I have had from them has had a uk post code. No custom charges.

Yep, Movietyme either get stock inside the UK or send from the US to Europe and then re-post from there so no customs charges.

Well considering Lost Season 1 is listed on their site under Same Day Dispatch there is no way you can get customs as it is already inside the UK.

Does anyone know when Episode 23 is on?

I normally watch each episode on E4 on a sunday a 9, but there seems to be all sorts of episodes and snippets on today.

Is normal service resumed at 9 tonight?

Not according to the Channel 4 website it's not, James - anyone know when it is on for real?

You have to be kidding me. That's what they said after the last episode shown on E4 last Wednesday. - "that was the last first chance episode of Lost on E4 as the finale will be shown as a two part special on Channel 4 next week" - or words to that effect.

Sorry if I've given bum information.
