    Hi,

"Lost" has been announced on Channel 4, but there have now been some OFFICIAL schedule changes. Don't worry, though, because it's for the better - I think.

I can now officially confirm that the first episode of US drama Lost is scheduled for 8:30pm on Wednesday 10th August on Channel 4. The second episode will be shown on the same evening at 10pm. The third will then be on E4 at 11pm, but given its premiere on Channel 4 on Wednesday 17th August at 10pm.

After that, the plan is for one episode per week on Channel 4 in the 10pm slot, followed by the next episode on E4 at 11. There will be weekly repeats on both Channel 4 and E4.

I can't, however, confirm if any censorship edits will be made to the 8:30pm showing of the "Pilot Episode" of Lost, or of any subsequent episodes. I hope they don't cut it!

Secondly, "Without A Trace" (Season 3) will return to E4 from 9pm on 9th August 9th. The show will then be shown about a week or two later, on Channel 4, in a 10pm Monday night slot. An official date for the C4 showings will be announced soon.

Next up, US drama "Numb3rs" has been bought by ITV, and will premiere on ITV3 in the Autumn of 2005.

Still no news on "Third Watch" from C4. Season 5 is still being messed around with in the daytimes, and will then be dropped until September 2005. And no news on Season 6. (C4 are refusing to comment on it.)

More news, as and when I can confirm it.

I have been put off this show by the trailer, it just looks too "up it's own arse" (for want of a better description)...or am I wrong?

from what i've read, and seen of the show i think your wrong. I've ordered the R1 DVD this morning on spec. Everything i've read in SFX and on the web over the last couple of months has had me dribbling like a crazy person.

Why not just give it half hour of your day on the 10th - you've got nothing to lose - i bet you've wasted more time than that on Xbox live or eastenders :D

    Decadence :hiya:

Lost is a brilliant show, not to be missed. After the 4th or 5th episode you will be hooked. Lost has a nack of draging you in slowly and not letting you go. I definately can't wait for the second series to come out. 9.5/10

From what I’ve heard, people who have watched the series say the trailer is very poor. I’d try watching a few series and not be put off by the badly made trailer! I personally can’t wait!

    From Craig@movietyme

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for the mentions on those threads.
If anyone were to get a customs bill they just send it to us and we would refund them.

We were the first company to ship the last Star Wars movie out on DVD so hopfully will be the same again, the last one was 3 weeks early. I would say pre book as early as possible though in case we get short shipped - then they go out in order number.

    :)

I know it's only a TV prog but can a passenger plane really get lost these days?

What with satellite imagery, GPS, laptops, PDAs, mobile phones (ok, they probably won't work on a desert island!) etc.

I assume all these will 'malfunction' early on in some way so as not to get in the way of the plot?

Maybe i'm just being too cynical and should just sit back, switch off and enjoy!

..that Channel 4 trailer looked like an advertisement for some kind of expensive perfume or male aftershave , I almost didn't realise that lost was coming on TV soon because of it!

quite njoying it so far, apart from one thing, the adverts. I didnt take too much notice on the gap between the 1st and 2nd advert, but it did seem short. Checked the time between 2nd and 3rd, which was 8mins!!!. The 3rd lot of adverts was only around 2mins long though. I hope this isnt the shape of things to come - shorter adverts, but more of them throughout a programme :thumbsdow

anyway, needless to say, the video will be used next week,

Watching it so far, I'd definitely say they have made some cuts - the pilot in the trees? & after they found the handcuffs? Will maybe tape the episodes they show at a later time to see if they're reinstated  OK so far, if at times a little predictable.

    Very reminicent of "Mysterious Island".

I can certainly see how they spent the 4 million buck on the pilot, excelent stuff.

(did anyone else notice that the pilot was Weiss from Alias, before he was rudely ripped to shreds by a big monster)

going to skip watching it on E4, and keep to the logo-free C4 version. Who cares about being one week in front.

One thing i do like about the programme, is not knowing anything about it beforehand :smashin:

Im the same as you - ill miss the E4 ones - just have to hope no one posts any spoilers from the E4 episodes - its bad enough that the adverts for the next episode give so much away.
