I have lost the My Documents folder from the desk top on XP. How to I restore it properly? Its not in the Recycle bin, currently I have a short cut but I am not 100% this is the correct way.

Click on start, go to the 'my documents' icon and right click, you should then have a show on desktop option, click on that and the 'my documents' folder should appear on the desktop.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

    Or...

right click anywhere on the desktop, select 'properties'
    Select the 'desktop' tab
    Select 'Customize Desktop' button
tick the check boxes of each item you want to show on the desktop
    Hit 'OK' and 'OK' again.

    Spoilt for choice!
