lost hard drive

    ok i need some serious help here..i was installing my ipod software on the c drive..the install failed it was not responding to i stopped it using task mananger..i got an error saying i cant save to my g drive(and external hard dive)....my g drive is now saying it needs formatting.is there anything i can do ?

    panic :p

    you could remove it then reinstall it back and see if you can access it

    lol... a crashed install of Apple software screwing up a hard drive on a Windows OS. Doesn't suprise me.

    Download a hd recovery software, might be lucky in repairing the partition.

    If you are using XP, use the system rollback tool (assuming you made recovery backups)

    got recovery software and got evetything off the drive before reformatting it...now im scared to install the ipod again lol

    hmm it seems you cant have another connection on the firewire card with your ipod..stupid bleedin thing lol
