Thought this might have already been posted but I can't find it anywhere. Apologies if it has.

The complete First Season of Lost (R1) is available from:

CDWOW: £31.99 including delivery (or £30.99 with a £1 voucher) (no import taxes or charges)

Amazon.com: $38.99 (but you are likely to have to pay customs, which may push the price above CDWOW)

Both prices are a bargain considering the R2 release will be in 2 parts, costing around £25 each and the first part won't be released until the end of October.

I can't believe the R2 comes in 2 parts and the first part is £24.99 from amazon. Expensive

I would rather be safe than risk paying customs.

You pay the VAT for any goods over 18 quid - so 17.5 % of the value plus about 4 quid for the postoffice clearance charges

Why do you say that, when their website says this:

Pay no attention to what their website says, every item I have ever ordered from Movietyme has been re-posted from inside the UK so its impossible to get customs charges and even if they do ship the item directly to you and you get hit, Craig from Movietyme has said several times that if you provide proof of the charges they will refund them.

I have used Movietyme and Disc Emporium for the best part of 5 or 6 years (or there abouts) and have never paid VAT.

Thought it was a bargain when I posted it but after learning of the MovieTyme price, I would say that's the better bargain.

Still might work out cheaper from Amazon.com though, even after paying customs and other charges. :smashin:

No it wouldn't not a chance, when i've ordered stuff from Amazon at that price I usually get hit with about £8 customs then £4 Royal Mail fee. Dvdimport has them at £27 with free shipping, someone on here said that they mark the value of the package down as under £18 so they escape customs.

Ordered my copy from CD-WOW (using a nice 20% off link) - so £25.59.

I assume there are no import duties from CD-WOW?
