Lossing my music on I tunes

Hi hoping for some help please My problem is when i go to my iTunes and want to play a album on some of the songs I get This Message "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found would you like to find it"? What does this mean & what should i do to get it back ?

You've posted this in the iPhone section...iTunes is a program on a PC or Mac.
Is the iTunes problem on either of these or your iPhone?

On PC & of course the i phone I can not play them on i phone as all the tracks that will not play have a red square with a red circle round it. I apologise if this was in the wrong forum

That error normally means that the file path the song is linked to in iTunes no longer exists. Sometimes happened if you've moved stuff around etc.

Right click on a song giving the error, choose get info and check the file path then see if it actually exists there or not. If its somewhere else delete the one in iTunes and re-add it again.
