any ideas on why i keep getting an intermittent blank picture when watching a blueray, mainly at the beginning of a film?
    i have the panasonic ub700 through a yamaha a3050 into epson 7300.
at first i thought it may be the 10mtr hdmi cable to the projector, but i sometimes watch tivo v6 and have my pc running through the same cable to the projector with no problems,it only seems to be when watching a blueray.
when the screen goes blank usually for 5 to 10 seconds but the sound stays on and the amps display dosnt show a loss of signal, and it's usually in the first 10 or 15 min then it seems to settle down?.
    anyone else had this problem.

It does sound HDMI related, if the 10M cable is a known good high speed one it could possibly be the cable from the ub700 to AVR. Is it normal Blu Ray discs or UHD discs you are having issues with?

thanks paul,it's normal bluerays.and it only seems to happen in the first 15 min or so.i also watch amazon and netflix with the ub700 but don't recall it happening with those.
i am going to move the ub700 as i noticed it was fairly hot,it was sat about 4inch above my amp.
wondering if there is a fault with the 700

Obviously heat is not going to help but it would be good to test by connecting directly to the projector to see if it happens. Do you have any video processing turned on in the AVR? if so turn it off.

    no video processing,
was watching something on amazon last night, using the ub700 but on the tv not projector, and the picture and sound went off for about 10 sec and the display on the amp showed signal loss, but it only happened once about 5 min into programme,so not sure what is causing it.

Although it's possible the fault could lie with the UB700 I'm fairly sure this could be the HDMI cable from the UB700 to the AVR.
