If I use a RGB>VGA convertor to connect Sky + to my Panny PWD6, apparantly I lose 'aspect switching'. Can someone explain what this means?

The sky box sends a signal down the scart lead (pin 8 I think) which tells the tv to change from 4:3 to 16:9 etc. The vga connection on the panny unit does not allow this signal to be sent through.

So there is 2 options. 1) Manually switch using your panny remote. or 2) get a aspect ratio switcher see the top of this forum or in the classified or offers sections to get one :)

Personally I'd just set my screen to 16:9 and leave it at that and just manually switch over for the odd program where needed. Others though do prefer it to auto switch, but this comes at a cost.

£100 ish for the switcher. I do prefer a sharper picture with a 4:3 image
