Hi all, i have currently preordered a KDL40W4500 with sony centre when i went in to order i was told to expect before end of jan, i have now been told to expect it mid feb and that is only a estimate. So i think il call it day on it and look for something else.

The only trouble is i did want a sony due to all the sony products i do own, but again whichever sony i go for i will be having the same issues on stock,

which other brand can anyone recommend which will better the w4500 size im looking for is 40" , using sky hd, ps3, standalone sony bd player

Samsung 6 series chap

They make the panels for Sony anyway and dont look like total dogs~~t unlike the Sonys

40" samsung 686 LCD can be found for around £665 if you look around

Robert Whytes in Glasgow and Beyond Television have them at that price

I got John Lewis to pricematch RobertWhytes and I got the 5 year guarantee as well

The set looks lush imo turned on or off

Full HD, 24 fps, 100 hz etc etc it does the lot

BTW Rider you up for coming out to Dubai and smoking some mind rotting grade with me? LOL

It is true, Sony have 'No Stock' of just about everything, I just bought a JVC42DR9 from Digital Direct, its a lot better than the 40V4000. :smashin:

Did you have any clouding / bleeding on your one?

If not at least you can feel better about the price

(mine does some noticeable in the top corners - I can live with it though esp as mine cost £850)
