Me too , I'm waiting for the ROTK extended to turn up so I can have an extended LOTR weekend in which I will finally watch the entire series in one go .

I'm really surprised that anyone prepared to buy the trilogy would waste their time with the standard version instead of the far superior extended versions.

    Amen Stuart,

The extended versions of the films are far superior. In his book "There and Back Again: An Actor's Tale" , Sean Astin's initial impression of the cut versions was "They've ruined it".

More than a little harsh but the extended versions are just awesome.
