Can't find a thread on this after searching but apologies if there is one already.

Just picked this up from HMV and very disappointed to find the much trumpeted Directors cut on DVD is not included in the box! It contains just a single blu-ray and nowt else.

Anyone else got this AND get the second disk included?

    Hurrumph!

An other where the opportunity for the Blu to be better fails. Equilibrium shown in the wrong aspect and love it or hate it the Fantastic Four as far as I know does not include the extended edition nor does ID4.

is the problem that the directors cut is not included as a DVD ? Is the Blu-ray the directors cut ? I really don't care about a DVD, I just want this on a Blu and to my knowledge they only ever released the directors cut on DVD, so it would be odd to go back the the theatrical cut.

The problem was that it was supposed to include the theatrical cut on blu-ray and the directors cut on a separate DVD. However opening the box there's only the blu-ray in there - what's more suss is that the box doesn't even have space for a second disk!

I've emailed 101-Films to ask what gives so we'll see.......

How moronic to release the theatrical cut on Blu, when the directors cut is the far better version and the version that has been released on DVD in every country. Thanks for warning me, now I won't bother.

Yeah blu-ray.com said that apparently there's some rights issue preventing the directors cut appearing on blu-ray in both countries.

    Just seems odd to me!

Response from 101-Films on the missing DVD: they're getting a replacement disk out to me ASAP. The initial batch had a "manufacturing error" which meant the DVD was missing.

Excellent to see quick response to this. Hopefully later batches will have the DVD, but if you have got a disk from the batch without the DVD, I'd suggest contacting 101 Films ([email protected]) for this replacement. Now if only they could get the replacement disk out to me in HD.......
