Cambridge Audio Azur 540R (£249.99 from Richer Sounds) or Yamaha RXv657 (i think someone here found this for £301 - pixmania?)

Personally I would get the Azur but many people seem to like yamahas!

    I've just ordered a Yamaha RX-V 757 from technikdirect.de for a smidge over £350 . The 657 chedmaster mentioned is about £280 inc del .
There is a big sticky for entry level recievers at the top of this forum , check it out :smashin:

Hey Serpico isnt the H/K model amp you got the limited edition one? If it is IMHO your going to have probelms finding a good replacement in the £2-300 catagory. I was originally after one myself but they all sold out before I could get one so I bought the Yamaha 1400 instead:D

Yeah, stupid boy here has posted in the wrong place. I'm looking for a stereo amp for music rather than an AV one. And yeah, I'm still very happy with the H/K kit. :)

No, you have posted in the right place but just not specified what you wanted very well :suicide:

    What is your musical source?

    Very nice:D

I think in your price range your looking at marantz, Nad and Cambridge audio mainly. Maybe the bottoom the arcam, rotel and Roksan ranges.

You may have better luck second hand though.
