I have had my VPL900 for about 2 years now. Not used it much (probably about 150hrs max) but realise that technology has moved on a pace and am considering changingit for a newer model.

Asked my local AV shop in Cardiff whether the purchase of a Panasonic AE100 would give a worthwhile investment but he (very honestly) said not and I should stick with my existing one.

Now, I don't disbelieve him entirely but find it hard to believe that a new model will not be far better than a 2 year old model. Can anyone advise on AE100 picture quality compared to an AE100 or other similar model. I cannot go to something as large as a VHW11 due to position. The VPL900is perfect, mounted on a shelf just below ceiling level.

    Thanks for any advice.
