Just wandering if anyone can help me out, I am in Ireland and I have the regular sky package and can not get , CH5,ITV or CH4, via sky as they are all not allowed through. So I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out to get the Sky Digital freeview card which will allow all regions.

Card is tied to the box, if you have any mates on the main land get them to phone the BBC, they will need your serial number though. How odd you get UK TV blocked:confused:

I believe in Ireland there is a subscription service (Multichannel??)that broadcasts BBC1 thru to C5. It is via a special rooftop ariel (a sort of squarial). Maybe there is an agreement between Sky and MC not to allow ITV, C4 and C5 be freely available?

    No, no that's wrong!

Ariel is a Gazelle or a type of biological detergent. Great for those nasty oil stains.

    ;)

And "Freeview" is the UK terrestrial digital service that requires no card, just a Freeview box and suitable *aerial*.

    Such confusion!

What he really wants is a FTV (Free To View) card for his Sky Digibox.
He'd probably need to pay someone (with a UK postcode and TV licence) lots of money to get him one. I think the limit is 5 per household so pick someone with less than 5 TV sets.

Squarial is actually a type of flat concealed LND sat receiver only usable in strong signal areas.
