Hey guys. Looking to get a new player. Currently using an older LG which works just fine, but I guess newer players have made some improvements? At the moment I'm looking at the new pioneer bdp 450 And new denon dbt 1713 ud I live in Japan so the models we get here are likely different in at least name. Specs are usually same tho. I want player that improves the image over my older one, so the reason I like the pioneer is because it has the QDEO chip. But does it help improve the video? Or is it really just for DVD up scaling? Spec wise it's very similar to the lx55 so if u have that, how does it compare to non QDEO players? The denon doesn't advertise a particular chip but denons have always been good players. Both have DVD Audio and SACD which I like. The pioneer has 2 hdmis which is good since I'm not sure my amp supports 3D pass thru. (old amp from before 3D came along) I don't want to have to buy a new amp just for 3D. Any help or advice appreciated chaps!
