    Evening all,

It's the girlfriends birthday coming up and I've noticed her drop the hint that she quite fancies the idea of an mp3 player she can use down the gym. The mp3 player market is something I'm not too familiar with so was wondering if anyone had any advice on what a good player for the gym is?

Reckon she wouldn't need more than 4gb of tunes. Budget is no more than £70. Also the PC side software is best off being as simple as possible (not because she's simple, but my old laptop doesn't deal very well with flashy apps - e.g. psp media manager, havent tried itunes on it, but would imagine similar results) and should be compatible with copying music from a NAS server (are there any that offer a simple drag and drop method?).

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

    Stebo

With huge apologies to Stebo148 (LOL) ..................the answer to the title of this thread could have been..............."I'll swap" !!!! or "it's a deal"!!!!!!!

SORRY............... couldnt resist that cheap joke!!! ( No offence meant!!)

More seriously - my 2 daughters both "gym" and they use the little Creative Nano ( and renamed N200) players. They are quite cheap now - take AAA batteries( so a pack of rechargeables kept at home) - have fm radio - AND can simply drag and drop mp3 albums through windows explorer. For your purpose i'd recommend them!!

(PS for my own personal use i have Sony nwa808's - but that's another story! )

    Good luck!

Amazon were clearing out old Nano 4GB stock for £69 recently - looks like you just missed the boat on that.

However you could get a 4GB Creative Zen V Plus for £10 extra (£80 delivered) and that supports drag and drop so no messing around with software.
