what do you guys and girls think?????

Thats one of the best spec laptops there are, very nice choice.
I was wondering you reasons for waning a desktop replacement however, you can get more for your money with a desktop and it might be better to get an equivelant desktop and then a smaller less powerful but more portable laptop. Thats certainly what I would do if I had that budget. Unless of course you want to have a powerful gaming and multitasking computer whilst travelling.

Very nice choice anyway

like the previous posted mentions, if you want to save money, get a desktop and get more punch for your money but if you want a portable machine or the flexibility of both than this lappy is pretty nice!

thank you for the input,

at first i just wanted a laptop to work on around the house and while traveling but keep the main pc,

However after looking around at the prices it made me think would it be worth replacing it, but now i am stuck again as i have been looking at upgrading my pc and i can get he following for just under £1000
Code:
- CPU: Intel Core i7 970 3.20GHz @ 4.00GHz (6-core)
- Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel
- Cooler: Choice of coolers (Akasa Venom CPU cooler as standard)

but then i am left with no laptop and only around £700 left in my budget lol
when looking at laptops i really dont understand the graphics so really stuck unless its something like the above laptop as i do a lot of gfx work so the laptop needs to be able to keep up with me lol

what about an alienware? they have rediculously good specs that will eat up pretty much all the latest games!
