    Hi people,

    Can anyone help me :lease:

I have a JVC 32" SD6 LCD tv with a HD port and TV Link. I am about to replace my old dvd player and VCR with a DVD Recorder preferably with a harddrive.

The TV's manual suggests a HD DVD player could be connected to the HD port, so I was going to get one of those, but having read some posts on here it would seem there is not much benefit? And If it is worth it will I be able to record the Digital signal from the TV via the HD connection?

TV Link is available through one of the SCART leads, and tbh I haven't a clue what it does... can anyone shed some light on this "feature"?

Most importantly, what are the best recorders for under £300? I didn't want to spend much more than £250. Also I thought I should get JVC because I have a JVC tv... is that stupid?

    Thanks very much.
