Hmmm. At £12.15 for non fidelity card members. That's still not bad. :smashin:

Tell me though if I order with a normal visa debit card do I get any additional charges for paying in Canadian currency?

That depends on your card issuer, most charge 2.75%, others charge nothing.

I have a load of cards. I am yet to find one that dosnt charge an exchange rate fee. It tends to be around 1.5% in my experience. Not a problem though. I get 2% cashback on my Amex card, 1% on Capital One and Morgan Stanley etc etc etc.....

Don't know, where does it say so?

When I look at my order I have just placed it says 'on order' so does this mean it's not in stock?

    Don't hold your breath.

If it's in stock the it will say on the items description on the website.

My copy of Pitch Black has been in stock "48-72 hours" since I ordered it on the 10th Feb.

Currently states "in transit" on my pending orders.

The last 4 titles I have ordered from dvdsoon have all been in stock but taken upto 2 months to arrive.

When they do finaly post them. They only take about a week to arrive.

    Good prices, but :boring: :boring:

I ordered Hellboy on the Feb 26th and it's currently "on hand" which I presume is somewhere between "on order" and "packaging" . I'm not expecting to see it anytime soon but you get used to it after awhile.

Put it this way i'd be suprised to see my copy by March 21st, I expect to see buy the end of the month, if i'm still waiting mid April, i'll be unhappy, but i'd understand (i'm also expecting another 10 dvd before I see Hellboy so that helps :) ). Go in with that atittude you'll be fine.

So far out of 7 items 1 has arrived, 2 are in the post (which I believe),
3 are pre-orders, so I'm only waiting for 1 on order.
    That's quite fast for DVDsoon.
The others based upon past experience will arrive eventually, and a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
I hope they are not like splash, they've got a lot of my money!

£9.78!, I'm off to order Hellboy now, I'm in no hurry.
    Thanks for the info.

    Steve.

Not at all. If its on order its not in stock. Could be anything from 1 to 4 weeks for delivery in my experience.

I ordered around 20 dvds over the last two weeks. Virtually all of them were out of stock or pre orders when I ordered. All but three have been delivered or have been posted. At the end of the day at these prices (Average cost for a DVD in my order was £3.60 including shipping) you cant complain really.

Partyweb, thought i'd give you an update on the status of my order of Hellboy DC.

I ordered it Feb 26th, shipped yesterday, March 7th

In my experience this is pretty good for DVDSoon. I always try to take into account the amount of orders they must receive, especially at the end of their promotions where everyone's grabbing the last minute bagains (I ordered over 20 dvds over the last 2 days of the 20% off promotion, I presume I wasn't the only one :) )

Weather this has any barring on your order I haven't a clue (thats if you haven't canceled :suicide: ).

Well I'm glad that my order was still 'on order' as I decided to go with their icard. So I cancelled it and now re-ordered it with extra 10% off, free shipping, and 2 free dvds (blade 3 + Bubba Ho-Tep) .

I wasn't aware that DVDsoon charge your credit card as soon as you place your order (and not when they dispatch the goods, which is the norm from others)! After placing my re-order I found the money from the previous order is now on some kind of credit account with them !?! If I ask them to put it back on my charge will I get charged another handling charge from my bank?

It has been awhile since I have used DVDSoon but the last time I placed an order I decided to cancel it after 2 weeks and they gave me store credit which I then transfered back to my debit card, it might be this has changed since I last used it.

Yup, from your account page, on the right hand side menu there is an option.

My question though is, if I do this will I be charged another commission fee by my debit card company?

Guess it all depends on who your card is with, my debit card is with Nationwide so never have a problem buying in other currencies as they dont charge fees.

Also, I think DVDSoon mention somewhere on their site that they give store credit because if the refunded, you may not get back the same amount you spent.
