I regularly help my friends with their computers (I'm their go to guy when it comes to IT) needless to say a lot of the time the easiest way to fix their cluttered and virus ridden comp is to get them to save what they want to keep to an external and then just re-install the OS.
Am tired of the long process of re-installing all the programs back onto their comps that everyone uses! I have an Indigo program but it is kinda outdated.
Are there no software's available where u can build ur own list of programs that u would want collectively installed automatically?
This would be a great help and time saver for me!!

I would just take an image of each PC once all the wanted programs are installed. This can be done for free with the Windows Backup & Restore utility (Win7 & Vista), or other free apps such as EaseUS Todo Backup
With a disk image you can do a full system restore in under an hour.

Not a bad idea Mark but every time Ive restored my system with a system image it has taken hours. Maybe its because I have a 1TB HDD but if its just reinstalling the OS and files installed you would think it wouldn't matter what size the HDD is. Luckily I have a large GB mem stick to save the image to and make this method even an option. . .
I'll def try it and let u know how it goes!!!!

Would the drivers and other key things not be different from motherboard to motherboard?

Yes, you would need 1 image per PC unless you can sysprep it, it would then install itself with all programs quickly. We do this at work and 1 32Gb USB flash drive can build 6 models of HP PC and about 10 different models of Lenovo laptops. In most cases it just works out the correct model and installs all the drivers for that specific model, but if not it just opens a menu with all models and you pick the right one. It has MS Office, Chrome, Acrobat Reader etc. etc. included in the build and does it all in well under an hour.

See I would need something that I could plug into anyones comp that I was reinstalling the OS too and it would go through the boring process of installing all the tiny programs PC's need to bloody work properly now-a-days.
U dont know of a program like that?? .. lol
