    Hi,

I've currently got an Asus B1M which I'm happy with, but am wondering if people have any tips/suggestions/advice on similar projectors that might be better.

Requirements: short throw (preferably 150" at 10' like the B1M, but I'd settle for a bit less like 120" at 10'), HDMI, minimum 720p native resolution, quiet (preferably fanless).

Wishes: small-ish (as the B1M or smaller, preferably not much larger), cheaper than the B1M, possible to run on batteries, remote control.

    I've previously had these projectors:
Apitek Pocket Cinema T10 (cons: 640x480, poor brightness, no short throw; pros: quiet, nice size, did run on battery)
Acer C20 (cons: 854x480, poor brightness, no short throw; pros: quiet, nice size, did run on battery)
LG HS101 (cons: 800x600, no battery, somewhat noisy, pros: not too noisy, reasonably short throw, reasonably small)
BenQ Joybee GP2 (cons: noisy!, pros: 1280x800, reasonably short throw, reasonably small)

I'm curious about the FAVI J5-PICO-HD and also Coolux X2 DLP Pico Projector (although the throw may not be short enough) but it's hard to find any good info on them (and they're also hard to find available for sale), so am wondering what other options people can suggest.

I have a w1070 from benq - not quite the throw youre looking for.. BUT the w1080st might be exactly what you are looking for.. Its capable of 141 at 7.5 ft. Pretty quiet.. I cant hear my 1070 over my stereo when I'm watching movies, shows, etc...

Other than the short throw on the 1080, the specs are identical...

correction, the 1070 does 120 exactly at 10'

    Epson Europe EH-TW5200 will throw 104" @ 10ft.
Its discontinued now but should be able to pick it up at a reasonable price.
