    Hi,

Thinking about purchasing the Monitor Audio Apex package but I was a bit dissappointed with the subwoofer when I heard it at a recent...was hoping for some more ooomph from it.

While it sound fine for the big explosions etc I wanted to litterally "feel" them, which I didn't think this sub did.

Is there any sub up to £1500 that you can recommend that is better than this sub?

    Cheers

    Bilbo

Well I have the Apex kit and a Monolith .. you can feel it but its not going to be all that much .. but adding a Earthquake Quake 10b to your sofa and you then have all the feeling you need and a sound to go with it.

in total spending under your £1500 and also getting more than just a sub .. the Quake work down to 5hz so you get them extra low feeling

If I had that budget (which I don't) and those speakers (which I do) I wouldn't hesitate to buy myself the new SVS SB-13 Ultra.

    But that's just me.

Any of the SVS range would be worth a look (read the reviews of the Cylinders on here)
You're not far shy of the baby M&K.

£1500 is nudging toward second hand Velodyne DD, B&W DB1, Paradigm Sub12 etc - some real high end stuff.
