    Hi there,

If you live in Telford Area, just noticed Sagem 45 for £1,250 in Comet, "managers special, previously bought" 1 year manufacturers warranty. Presume it's the older model.

Moderator....just for info, don't work for comet or anything.

I wouldn't pay 500 quid for that TV.

It's utter rubbish. I have it in my lounge as a temporary replacement whilst a new TV comes.

The TV is a joke. Faulty Brightness - Plagued with Dot Crawl and Picture noise.

    Steer CLEAR!

As a balance, apart from the reflective coating, I have nothing bad to say about my HD-D45 at all, not one fault since day one nine months ago.

Your the only one that says that - there are folk that had 3 returned and maybe you just don't know what to look for.

Put in a RF feed or even a Scart DVD and watch anything, NOiSE everywhere.

    Hi Jessmith

Yes, this is the old model, but if it mets your needs then the price is OK.

Be aware that kmhtkmhtkmht has fairly individual veiws on Sagems, listen to others before you decide. :lesson:

That is your view there must be hundreds of happy customers.

Why don’t you just let people make there own choice.

I’ve had NTL and Tried a DVD player via scart and seen no problems. If you’re watching a bad source on a big screen it going to look bad

I think the bulk of the people can speak and think for themselves without you forcing your opinion on them.

OK. Stop the personal argument, thanks. If you haven't got anything to say about Sagem 45's then, don't post.

Aye, sorry, anti-reflective coating. I do find it somewhat distracting on bright scenes. I've checked out the newer Sagem models and it's not so evident (that I could discern in Comet anyway).

The downside with going into Comet to check out the newer sagems screens was that they had the Samsung L7 playing the same HD source as the Sagems and the PQ was noticably better.

i wouldn't judge it without playing with settings. Stores want to sell one TV's more than others. I played with L7 in stores - apart from anti-reflecting screens didn't fing much difference.

Comet had the new Sagem 56" right next to the Samsung L7 and the remote for the sagem was there. Despite all my tweaking I couldn't get the picture on the Sagem to match the Samsung PQ.

I am a six month owner of the Sagem HD45 and think it is a fantastic television. Not had a single problem with it.

Maybe Sagem have quality control issues with some sets, but not with the one I have got.

Just bought a Sagem HD45s from Currys and very pleased with it. Only have freeview digital input into it so far, am waiting for Sky HD box to get full effect of HD set. No problems so far.
Only concern for the future is the cost of a replacement bulb, £300 according to Sagem UK parts dept.
