    Hey all,

Well, at long last, I am sick of my Olympus APS camera. Having spent £18 on getting two films developed, I find that a majority of the pictures taken were all blurry - unable to keep up with what was virtually no movement at a concert. Seems like a complete waste of money really!

So, i have decided to invest in a digital camera, having stolen my mums Sony DSCP72 camera, and finding the picture quality being brilliant.

I put a message up here a while ago, but i wanted to be more specific about what I want it for, see what you all suggest.

I mostly use my camera when I go to concerts and international rugby matches, so many of the shots are action shots. I also take a fair few stills, but most cameras can deal with those, so really i am looking for something that can take high quality pictures at concerts (so being able to take a good photo with some movement, and quite alot of lighting.)

I wanrted something with an optical zoom, as obviously when at concerts and matches, you do tend to be some distance away from the action.

Can anyone make any recommendations? Im looking to spend up to £200, and wanted about 64MB memory with it as I do take a hell of alot of photos!!!

You’re going to struggle to get a camera and 64mb memory for £200 mate.
You’ll get at most 3x optical zoom, which may not be enough at far distance. I’ll have a go with mine tomorrow to see what you get at 3x and post it. The Minolta z1 has a 10x optical zoom it’s £250. A camera with a 10x zoom will be a little bigger then the digital cameras like the pentax s4 and the Ixus400. But you can’t have it both ways. You can get the Z1 here http://www.warehouseexpress.com/index.cfm?photo/digicameras/Minolta.html#z1

If you don’t like the Z1 or you can’t go to £250 then the canon A70 is within your Budget. It’s 3x optical though. Buy it here http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008R9NW/pricerunner-21/202-4123945-5507032
